The St. Hannibal Rogate Center is an endeavor under the Rogationist Fathers of the Heart of Jesus. It was initiated under the then Major Superior of the Philippine-Indian Delegation Fr. Gaspare Gallito RCJ in March 5, 1991.
The Congregation of the Rogationists, following St. Hannibal Di Francia, consider themselves worshippers and implorers for the highest and most beautiful: to merit and prepare vocations for the Kingdom of Christ. (Rogate is Latin for "Pray," the first word in Jesus' exhortation in Matthew 9:37-38, "Prayer, therefore, the Lord of the harvest to send forth workers into his harvest.") The Rogate Center adheres to that mandate and is one among the many means used by the congregation to spread the Rogate. The Center is also tasked to study and deepen the spirituality and tradition of the congregation.
Rogate Center Sectors Rogate Center has three sectors by which it lives up to its mandate:
· Sector 1: Union of Prayer for Vocations (UPV). Initiatives under this sector as Priestly Alliance, Families Rog, Youth Rog, Missionarie Rogazioneste, Rogationist Lay Vocation Promoters, Cenacles of Prayer for Vocations, and others.
· Sector 2: Pastoral Institute for Vocations (PIV). This is a specialized training institute for the vocation ministry, a venue for the formation of formators and formandee. It also offers services such as vocation discernment, counseling, guidance and others.
· Sector 3: Publicatin and Production for the Diffusion of the Rogate. This includes publishing of the Rogate Ergo Magazine, a quarterly publication that was started in April-June 2000. Another endeavor is the Rogate Images TM in which we produce resin-made statues that are distributed and sold in various stores in the Philippines and abroad.
History and Administration Once a part of the Fr. Di Francia Center of Studies (FDFCS), the Rogate Center was reorganized in August 21, 2003. It is now directly under the Office of the Delegation. The Major Superior directs and controls the administration of the Center through the Councilor in charge of the Apostolate of the Rogate. The Councilor performs administrative acts on behalf of the Major Superior and submits a monthly report to him. It is a non-stock, non-profit organization registered under the Securities and Exchange Commission. |
